Created with: OpenAI Image API
Model: gpt-image-2.5-flare
Image generated: 2026-10-15
Original OpenAI API image selected from research plan abstract-expressionism-action-painting. Automated independent style review and visual review: Square original abstract painting with bold gestural black arcs, dripped white traces, and layered ochre swaths; strong action-painting energy and no visible watermark/text. Exact and conservative perceptual duplicate checks passed against existing samples and this batch. Exported to 1200px and 640px WebP; source 1024px enlarged for full display. No human visual review.

## The gesture remains visible

Action Painting emphasizes evidence of physical painting: broad gestures, drips, splashes and overlapping strokes. Compare the original’s dense allover marks with the variant’s dominant directional sweep and open ground. The difference is in mark structure and composition, not just a new palette. Both are generated interpretations rather than physical painted canvases.

## Variation: Gesture and breathing space

Broad black and blue gestures cut across open warm ground, with bristle drag and thin paint trails revealing changes in direction, pressure and density.

Open ground, a dominant directional sweep and uneven mark density replace the parent’s dense allover knot, while bodily gestures, layered strokes and physical paint movement remain legible.

Prompt seed: Abstract Expressionist action painting with broad directional gestures, overlapping paint trails, visible bristle drag and deliberate open ground between uneven clusters of marks.

Original AI-generated example for the October 25 search-content release. Bodily gestures, overlapping directional strokes, wet drag and fine trails are visible. Open ground and one dominant sweep differ clearly from the dense black/white/ochre parent. No recognizable subject, signature or text. Exact model and cost were not exposed.
